Design Workshops for Lift-Off
Since the Greece Communitere team landed in Thessaloniki in April, they’ve been establishing partnerships, setting up operations, and running design workshops with various stakeholders.
So far, two design workshops have attracted over 50 participants from various stakeholder groups including NGO personnel, volunteers, refugees, Greek community members, and members of the municipality of Thessaloniki. The workshops were held at the amazing Space Lab in Thessaloniki.
Workshop 1 was on understanding community needs, assets, and mapping desired outcomes, and Workshop 2 was on building a mobile resource center. Many fantastic ideas were brought to the table and we’re so lucky to have been welcomed into this dynamic and vibrant community of people who were ready and willing to jump on board with us to give their insight, ideas, and best practices gleaned from years of combined experience working and living in Greece.
